✧ I have not lied since I became Muslim except one lie. I was preparing the saddle for the Messenger of God ﷺ when a man from al-Ta'if came to saddle, and he said: 'Which saddle is most pleasing to the Messenger of God ﷺ?' I said: 'The Ta'ifi one with the front pommel.' He said: 'And the Messenger of God ﷺ used to dislike it.' So when he saddled it and it was brought, the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Who saddled this for us?' I said: 'So-and-so, whom you brought from al-Ta'if, saddled it for you.' Then the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Return the mount to Ibn Mas'ud.'
