✧ I have not lied since I became Muslim except for one lie. I was preparing a mount for the Messenger of God ﷺ, and a man from al-Ta'if came and said, 'Which mount is most pleasing to the Messenger of God ﷺ?' I said, 'The al-Ta'ifi munkabba.' He said, 'And the Messenger of God ﷺ disliked it.' He said, 'When he saddled it and brought it, he said, "Who saddled this for us?"' They said, 'The one you brought from al-Ta'if saddled it for you.' He said, 'Return the mount to Ibn Mas'ud.'
