وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُلَائِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ، قَالَ:

كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَتَكَلَّمَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ بِكَلَامٍ فِيهِ شِبْهُ الرَّجَزِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: « قُمْ يَا سَلَمَةُ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. al-Mulāʾī
  3. ʿUmar b. Rāshid
  4. Iyās b. Salamah b. al-Akwaʿ
  5. his father

✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when some of the people spoke in a manner resembling rhymed prose. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Stand up, O Salamah."
