✧ Ibn 'Umar ؓ set out for Hajj, until when he was between Makkah and Madinah, he came to a tree he recognized and sat beneath it. Then he said: I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ beneath a tree when a young man came from these mountain paths until he stood before the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, I have come to fight in jihad with you in the path of God Almighty, seeking thereby the face of God, Mighty and Majestic, and the Hereafter. He ﷺ said: Are both your parents alive? He said: Yes. He ﷺ said: Then go back and be kind to them. He said: So he turned back to where he came from.
