✧ Prohibition of Seeking Treatment with the Unlawful

قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ:

« أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَيْنَ يُذْهَبُ بِكُمْ ؟ أَتَسْقُونَ أَوْلَادَكُمُ الْخَمْرَ ؟ إِنَّ أَوْلَادَكُمْ وُلِدُوا عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ، وَإِنَّ اللهَ لَمْ يَجْعَلْ شِفَاءَكُمْ فِيمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ

Translation

✧ "O people, where are you being taken? Do you give your children wine to drink? Indeed, your children were born upon the natural disposition, and Allah has not placed your cure in what He has forbidden for you."
