✧ While 'Umayr b. Sa'd was among a group of people from Palestine—and he was called 'Naseej Wahdih' (unique in his kind)—we sat on a large bench in his house. He said to his servant: "Boy, bring the horses to water." In the house there was a stone trough. He brought them to water. Then he said: "Where is so-and-so?" He said: "She is mangy, dripping blood," or he said "water"—Ibrahim was unsure. He said: "Bring her to water." One of the people said: "Then all the camels will get mange." He said: "Bring her to water, for I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'There is no contagion, no bad omen, and no Haamah. Do you not see the camel that is in the desert and then a spot appears on its chest or flanks that was not there before? Who infected the first one?'"
