✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ addressed us and mentioned the hadith at length, and in it: “Whoever visits a sick person, for every step he takes until he returns to his home, he gets seventy thousand good deeds, the erasure of seventy thousand bad deeds, and the raising of seventy thousand degrees. Seventy thousand angels are appointed for him, visiting him and seeking forgiveness for him until the Day of Resurrection. Whoever tends a sick person for a day and a night, God Most High will raise him with His intimate friend Ibrahim ﷺ until he crosses the Sirat like flashing lightning. Whoever strives to fulfill a sick person’s need comes out of his sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him.” A man from the Ansar said: “What if the sick person is his relative or one of his family?” He said: “Who has a greater reward than one who strives to meet his family’s need?”
