وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، ثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ] بْنُ عِمْرَانَ: حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:
صَنَعَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ خَبِيصًا بِالْعَسَلِ وَالسَّمْنِ وَالْبُرِّ، فَأَتَى بِهِ فِي قَصْعَةٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: مَا هَذَا ؟ قَالَ: هَذَا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ شَيْءٌ تَصْنَعُهُ الْأَعَاجِمُ مِنَ الْبُرِّ وَالْعَسَلِ وَالسَّمْنِ تُسَمِّيهِ الْخَبِيصَ، قَالَ: فَأَكَلَ
Translation

✧ ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān ؓ made khabīṣ with honey, clarified butter, and wheat, and he brought it in a large bowl to the Messenger of God ﷺ. He said, "What is this?" He said, "This, O Prophet of God, is something the Persians make from wheat, honey, and clarified butter; they call it khabīṣ." He said, "So he ate."
