✧ Locusts

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَتْنِي زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ كَعْبٍ قَالَتْ:

كَانَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ؓ يَرَانَا نَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ فَلَا يَأْمُرُنَا وَلَا يَنْهَانَا، وَلَا نَدْرِي مَا كَانَ يَمْنَعُهُ ؟ تَقَذُّرًا أَوْ يَكْرَهُ

Translation

✧ Abu Sa'id ؓ would see us eating locusts and would not command us or forbid us, and we did not know what prevented him - out of disgust or dislike.
