✧ The Great Status of Prayer

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الزِّبْرِقَانِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

« مَثَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ كَمَثَلِ نَهَرٍ عَذْبٍ جَارٍ أَوْ غَمْرٍ عَلَى بَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ، يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ، مَا يُبْقِي مِنْ دَرَنِهِ ؟

Translation

✧ The example of the five prayers is like a sweet flowing river, or an abundant river, at the door of one of you; he bathes in it five times a day. What dirt would remain on him?
