✧ The virtue of the five daily prayers

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زَنْجُوَيْهِ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«مَثَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْمَكْتُوبَاتِ كَمَثَلِ نَهْرٍ جَارٍ عَلَى بَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ»

✧ “The likeness of the prescribed prayers is that of a flowing river at the door of one of you, in which he bathes five times every day.”
