قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَبُو عُمَرَ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، ثَنَا دُرُسْتُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: « يَا بُنَيَّ، ادْعُ لِيَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الدَّارِ بِوَضُوءٍ » فَقُلْتُ: رَسُولُ اللهِ يَطْلُبُ وَضُوءًا، فَقَالَ: أَخْبِرْهُ أَنَّ دَلْوَهُ جِلْدُ مَيْتَةٍ. قَالَ ﷺ: « سَلْهُمْ: هَلْ دَبَغُوهُ ؟ » قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: « فَإِنَّ دِبَاغَهُ طُهُورُهُ

✧ I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, 'O my son, ask for water for ablution for me from this house.' I said, 'The Messenger of Allah is requesting water for ablution.' They said, 'Tell him that his bucket is made of the skin of a dead animal.' He ﷺ said, 'Ask them: Did they tan it?' They said, 'Yes.' He said, 'For its tanning is its purification.'
