✧ A man met the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of God, I have brought my merchandise.' He ﷺ said: 'What is your merchandise?' He said: 'Wine.' He ﷺ said: 'Take it to the stony valley, untie its mouths, and pour it out.' He said: 'He went out with it, but his soul refused, so he returned to him and said: 'O Messenger of God, what is wrong with me and my family; there is nothing that can provide for me, near or far, other than it!' The Messenger of God ﷺ said to him: 'Take it out to the stony valley, untie its mouths, and pour it out.' He said: 'So he did.' Then he returned to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I have done it, O Messenger of God!' The Messenger of God ﷺ raised his hands until the whiteness of his armpits was seen, and said: 'O God, enrich so-and-so and the family of so-and-so from Your bounty!' Indeed, if a man from that household died, he would leave as inheritance a thousand camels.
