قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حُدِّثْتُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ مُطَّرِحٍ هُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
« مَثَلُ الْمَرْأَةِ الصَّالِحَةِ فِي النِّسَاءِ كَمَثَلِ الْغُرَابِ الْأَعْصَمِ » قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا الْغُرَابُ الْأَعْصَمُ ؟ قَالَ ﷺ: « الَّذِي إِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ بَيْضَاءُ

✧ "The example of a righteous woman among women is like the example of the crow with a white-marked foot (al-ghurab al-a'sam)." It was said: O Messenger of God, what is al-ghurab al-a'sam? He ﷺ said: "The one with one of its legs white."
