وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ:
« مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ

هذا أصح عندي أي حديث قتادة عن ابن المسيب من حديث عبد الرحمن بن حرملة أي عن ابن المسيب لأنه ليس بالحافظ وقتادة حافظ وقد تابعه الحارث بن عبد الرحمن
machine translationThis is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ) in my view, that is, the ḥadīth of Qatādah from Ibn al-Musayyab, than the ḥadīth of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Ḥarmalah, that is, from Ibn al-Musayyab, because he is not a reliable memorizer (ḥāfiẓ), whereas Qatādah is a memorizer (ḥāfiẓ). And al-Ḥārith b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān has corroborated him.
