✧ The Farewell Tawaf

وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، قَالَ:

مَا رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ خَالَفَهُ أَحَدٌ فَسَكَتَ حَتَّى... فَخَالَفَهُ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ الْحَائِضِ بَعْدَ مَا تَطُوفُ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: تَنْفِرُ. فَأَرْسَلُوا إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ كَانَ أَصَابَهَا ذَلِكَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَوَافَقَتِ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ

✧ I have not seen anyone oppose Ibn Abbas but that he remained silent until... Jabir b. Abdullah opposed him regarding a menstruating woman after she performs tawaf on the Day of Sacrifice. Ibn Abbas said: She may depart. They sent to a woman who had experienced that during the time of the Prophet ﷺ and she agreed with Ibn Abbas.
