✧ Stoning the Jamarat

- حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ مَوْلَى آل عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، سَمِعَهُ يُخْبِرُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا حَبَّةَ يُفْتِي النَّاسَ:

أَنَّهُ لَا بَأْسَ لِمَا رَمَى بِهِ الرَّجُلُ فِي الْجِمَارِ مِنْ حَصًى وَغَيْرِهِ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ: فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ فَقَالَ: صَدَقَ. وَكَانَ أَبُو حَبَّةَ ؓ بَدْرِيًّا

✧ That there is no harm in what a man throws at the jamarat, whether it is pebbles or anything else. Abdullah b. Amr b. Uthman said: This was mentioned to Abdullah b. Umar ؓ, and he said: He spoke the truth. And Abu Habba ؓ was a Badri.
