✧ Stoning the Jamarat

وَقَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ يُقَالُ لَهُ مُعَاذٌ، أَوِ ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَّمَ النَّاسَ مَنَاسِكَهُمْ، قَالَ: فَفَتَحَ اللهُ تَعَالَى أَسْمَاعَنَا، فَإِنَّا لَنَسْمَعُ وَنَحْنُ فِي رِحَالِنَا، فَكَانَ فِيمَا عَلَّمَنَا: إِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوهَا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught the people their rites. He said: Allah Almighty opened our hearing, and we could hear while we were in our saddles. Among what he taught us: 'When you throw the jamrah, throw it with pebbles like those used for khazf.'
