✧ The people of Jahiliyyah used to stand at Arafat until when the sun was on the tops of the mountains like turbans on the heads of men, they would depart. Then they would stand at Muzdalifah until when the sun was on the tops of the mountains, they would push on. When Islam came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the departure from Arafat until the sun set, and he hastened the departure from Jam', and he departed from it when everything became light in the last part of the night, and he prayed the dawn prayer there in the dark.
