✧ The people of the Jahiliyyah used to stand at 'Arafah until when the sun was on the tops of the mountains like turbans on the heads of men, they would move on. And they would stand at Muzdalifah until when the sun rose and was on the tops of the mountains like turbans on the heads of men, they would move on. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the departure from 'Arafah until the sun had set, then he prayed the morning prayer at Muzdalifah when dawn broke, then he departed when everything had become clear in the latter time before the sun rose.
