✧ The Disapproval of Entering Ihram Before the Miqat

قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ حَدَّثَهُمْ
أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ ؓ، أَرَاهُ قَالَ: يَعْنِي أَحْرَمَ مِنَ الْبَصْرَةِ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلَى عُمَرَ ؓ وَكَانَ قَدْ بَلَغَهُ ذَلِكَ، فَأَغْلَظَ لَهُ، وَقَالَ: يَتَحَدَّثُ النَّاسُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَحْرَمَ مِنْ مِصْرٍ مِنَ الْأَمْصَارِ
Translation

✧ 'Imran b. Husayn ؓ, he (the narrator) thought he said: meaning, he entered ihram from Basra. When he came to 'Umar ؓ, and that had reached him, he spoke harshly to him and said: 'People are saying that a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ entered ihram from a city among the cities.'
