✧ His mother came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, Abu Ma‘qil had promised me that he would not perform Hajj unless I was with him. He performed Hajj on his riding camel, but I was not able to walk. I asked him for the trimmings of a palm tree, and he said, ‘It is the sustenance of his dependents.’ I asked him for a young camel he had, and he said, ‘It is in the path of Allah; I will not give it to you.’” The Prophet said, “O Abu Ma‘qil, what does Umm Ma‘qil say?” He said, “She has spoken the truth.” The Prophet said, “Give her your young camel, for Hajj is part of the path of Allah Almighty.” So he gave her his young camel.
