✧ A man asked Shurayh about a woman who vowed to perform i'tikaf during Rajab of that year in the mosque. He said: And Ziyad or Ibn Ziyad had forbidden women from performing i'tikaf in the mosque. Shurayh said: I do not say that it is in a revealed book, nor in a past Sunnah; it is only an opinion. She should fast Rajab of that year, and when she breaks her fast, a poor person should break his fast with her every day, or she should feed a poor person every night—two acts of worship for one. God does whatever He wills.
