✧ Wiping over the Khuffayn

وَقَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَخَالِدٌ قَالَا: أَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ، قَالَ:
خَرَجْنَا مَعَ أَبِي مُوسَى ؓ فِي بَعْضِ الْبَسَاتِينِ، فَأَخَذَتْنِي حَاجَةٌ، فَانْطَلَقْتُ لِحَاجَتِي، فَرَجَعْتُ فَجَلَسْتُ عَلَى جَدْوَلٍ، فَأَتَى عَلَيَّ أَبُو مُوسَى وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَخْلَعَ خُفَّيَّ، فَقَالَ: « أَقِرَّهُمَا، وَامْسَحْ حَتَّى تَضَعَهُمَا حِينَ تَنَامُ
Translation

✧ We went out with Abu Musa ؓ to some gardens, and I felt the need to relieve myself, so I went for my need, then returned and sat by a stream. Abu Musa came upon me while I was about to take off my khuffs. He said: "Keep them on, and wipe until you remove them when you sleep."
