حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى الصَّلَوَاتِ بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ: إِنَّكَ صَنَعْتَ شَيْئًا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَصْنَعُهُ؟ قَالَ: عَمْدًا صَنَعْتُهُ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ performed the prayers with a single ablution on the Day of the Conquest, and ʿUmar said to him: 'You have done something you did not used to do.' He said: 'I did it deliberately.'
