✧ I returned with a companion of mine from 'Umrah, and we arrived at the new moon, the crescent of Ramadan, so we stopped in the land of Abu Hurayrah ؓ on a severely hot day, and we woke up not fasting except for one man among us. Abu Hurayrah ؓ entered upon us in the middle of the day and found our companion seeking the shade of the palm trees, so he said: 'What is the matter with your companion?' They said: 'He is fasting.' He said: 'What prevented him from breaking his fast? Allah has granted him a concession. If he had died, I would not have prayed over him.'
