✧ The Sunnah of Breaking the Fast with Dates, Fresh Dates, or What Fire Has Not Touched

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ عَلَى ثَلَاثِ تَمَرَاتٍ، أَوْ شَيْءٍ لَمْ تُصِبْهُ النَّارُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to like to break his fast on three dates, or on something that fire had not touched.
