“May my father be sacrificed for you, you are pure; you were pure in life and you are pure in death.”

Ibn al-Mubārak and ʿAbd al-Razzāq transmitted it as a mursal report from Maʿmar, and likewise said Ṣāliḥ b. Kaysān and al-Awzāʿī from al-Zuhrī. The mursal version is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ).
