أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَاهُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:

رُبَّمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَسَطَ السَّرِيرِ، وَأَنَا عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ، تَكُونُ لِي الْحَاجَةُ، فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ قِبَلِ رِجْلَيِ السَّرِيرِ كَرَاهَةَ أَنْ أَسْتَقْبِلَهُ بِوَجْهِي

✧ Sometimes I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ praying at night in the middle of the bed, while I was on the bed between him and the qiblah. I would need something, so I would slip away from the direction of the foot of the bed, disliking to face him.
