86 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ - يَعْنِي الْوَرَّاقَ قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ. قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: وَهَذَا هُوَ الصَّحِيحُ، هَذَا الشَّيْخُ هُوَ عِيَاضُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ. رَوَى عَنْهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ غَيْرَ حَدِيثٍ، وَأَحْسَبُ الْوَهْمَ مِنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ حِينَ قَالَ: عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ "::
Translation

✧ Ikrimah b. 'Ammar narrated to us, from Yahya b. Abi Kathir, from 'Iyad b. Hilal with this chain, something similar. Abu Bakr said: And this is the correct view—this shaykh is 'Iyad b. Hilal. Yahya b. Abi Kathir narrated more than one hadith from him, and I think the error was from Ikrimah b. 'Ammar when he said: 'from Hilal b. 'Iyad.'
