✧ The severity of delaying the sunset prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْحَرَشِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ: فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، وَقَالَ:

أَمَا سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَا تَزَالُ أُمَّتِي بِخَيْرٍ - أَوْ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ - مَا لَمْ يُؤَخِّرُوا الْمَغْرِبَ حَتَّى تَشْتَبِكَ النُّجُومُ " ؟ قَالَ: بَلَى

✧ Did you not hear the Messenger of God ﷺ say: My community will remain in good—or upon the natural disposition—as long as they do not delay the sunset prayer until the stars appear intertwined? He said: Yes.
