✧ The prayer of travel and residence was made obligatory as two rakʿahs, two rakʿahs. When the Messenger of God ﷺ settled in Madinah, two rakʿahs were added to the prayer of residence, two and two. The dawn prayer was left as it was because of the length of the recitation, and the Maghrib prayer because it is the witr of the day.
