Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 3209

✧ The virtue of shaving in Hajj and Umrah, and choosing shaving over shortening, although shortening is permissible

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ - يَعْنِي الثَّقَفِيَّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ. قَالُوا: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ، قَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ " قَالُوا: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ. قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ

Translation

✧ O Allah, forgive the shavers. They said: And those who shorten. He said: 'O Allah, forgive the shavers.' They said: And those who shorten. He said it three times, then he said: 'And those who shorten.'
