✧ Permissibility of the Hadi from both males and females

حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجَزَرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:

أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِجَمَلِ أَبِي جَهْلٍ فِي هَدْيِهِ عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ، وَفِي رَأْسِهِ بُرَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، كَانَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ أُسْلِبَهُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered as hadi the camel of Abu Jahl among his sacrificial animals in the year of Hudaybiyyah, and on its head was a nose ring of silver. Abu Jahl had been stripped of it at the Battle of Badr.
