✧ Sa'i between Safa and Marwa is obligatory, whether running or walking

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ جُمْهَانَ قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَمْشِي بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: إِنْ أَمْشِي فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْشِي وَإِنْ أَسْعَى فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْعَى
Translation

✧ I saw Ibn 'Umar walking between Safa and Marwa, and I said to him. He said: If I walk, I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walking, and if I run, I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ running.
