✧ They were on a journey, and among them were some who had entered ihram. He said: Abu Qatadah mounted his horse and came upon a wild donkey, and he killed it, and they ate its meat. Then it was as if they were apprehensive about that, so they asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: "Did you participate in the hunt or point it out?" They said: No. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Then eat it." In the report of Ibn Abi ʿAdi, he said: "Did you point it out or assist?" And in the report of Ibn Abi ʿAdi from Shuʿbah there is something similar. He said: "Did you point it out, or hunt, or assist?" They said: No. He said: "Then eat it."
