Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 2893

✧ When a muhrim points out game to a non-muhrim, it is not permissible for the muhrim to eat it

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ هَارُونَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ أَصَابَ حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ، وَهُوَ مَعَ قَوْمٍ، وَهُمْ مُحْرِمُونَ، فَذَكَرُوهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: أَصَدْتُمْ أَوْ أَعَنْتُمْ أَوْ أَشَرْتُمْ ؟ قَالُوا: لَا، قَالَ: " فَكُلُوهُ

✧ He killed a wild donkey while he was with a group of people who were in ihram. They mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: "Did you hunt, or assist, or point it out?" They said: No. He said: "Then eat it."
