✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ stayed in Madinah for nine years without performing Hajj. Then the Hajj was announced, and it was said: The Messenger of God ﷺ is performing Hajj. Many people came to Madinah, all of them wanting to follow the Messenger of God ﷺ and do as he did. The Messenger of God ﷺ set out until he came to the mosque of Dhu al-Hulayfah and prayed in it. Then the Messenger of God ﷺ came out and many people rode with him, riders and walkers, all of them wanting to follow the Messenger of God ﷺ. When he appeared at al-Bayda', he entered ihram, and we intended only Hajj, not knowing Umrah. I looked in front of me, to my right, to my left, and behind me, as far as the eye could see, riders and walkers, all of them wanting to follow the Messenger of God ﷺ.
