✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dispatched a cavalry, and it brought a man from Banu Hanifah called Thumamah b. Uthal, the chief of the people of Yamamah. They tied him to one of the pillars of the mosque. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to him—and he mentioned a long hadith—and he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Release Thumamah. So he went to some palm trees near the mosque, performed ghusl, then entered the mosque and said: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is [the Messenger of Allah].
