✧ O Messenger of Allah, I am a woman who ties my braided hair tightly; should I undo it for the bath from janabah? He said: It is enough for you to scoop three handfuls of water over your head, then pour water over yourself and you will be purified." Or he said: "Then you will have become purified." This is the hadith of al-Makhzumi. 'Abd al-Jabbar said: "Then you will have become purified," and he did not say: "you will be purified."

machine translationThis is a mistake. It is only Saʿīd al-Maqburī, from ʿAbdullāh b. Rāfiʿ, the freed slave of Umm Salamah, from Umm Salamah, from the Prophet ﷺ.
