✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came —meaning to the house of Abu Bakr— and sought permission, and he was granted permission. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Permission has been granted to me to depart.” Abu Bakr said, “Companionship, may my father be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Yes.” A'ishah said, “So I prepared them with the swiftest of preparations. I made for them a traveling provision in a leather bag. Asma' bt. Abu Bakr cut a piece from her waist-band and tied the leather bag with it. For that reason she was called Dhat al-Nitaq (the one with the waist-band).”
