✧ That Umar acquired land at Khaybar. He came to the Prophet ﷺ to consult him about it. He said, 'I acquired land at Khaybar, and I have never acquired property dearer to me than it, so what do you command regarding it?' He said, 'If you wish, you can make its principal inalienable and give it as charity.' He said, 'So Umar gave it as charity, stipulating that its principal should not be sold, bought, gifted, or inherited. He gave it in charity for the poor, relatives, slaves, in the cause of God, the wayfarer, and the guest. There is no blame on the one who administers it if he eats from it in a reasonable manner or feeds a friend, without accumulating wealth from it.'
