حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَا يُخْرِجُ رَجُلٌ شَيْئًا مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ حَتَّى يَفُكَّ عَنْهَا لَحْيَيْ سَبْعِينَ شَيْطَانًا

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Mukharrimī
  2. Abū Muʿāwiyah
  3. al-Aʿmash
  4. Ibn Buraydah
  5. his father
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ No man gives any charity until the jaws of seventy devils are loosened from it.
