✧ The collective chapters of the charity of the breaking of the fast in Ramadan

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِصَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ عَنْ كُلِّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ، حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ، صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، فَعَدَلَ النَّاسُ بَعْدُ بِمُدَّيْنِ مِنْ بُرٍّ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ commanded the charity of the breaking of the fast on behalf of every young and old, free or slave: a Sa' of barley or a Sa' of dates. Then afterwards the people made it equivalent to two Mudds of wheat.
