✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ appointed a man from al-Azd called Ibn al-Utbiyya over zakat. When he came, he said: This is for you, and this was gifted to me. The Messenger of God ﷺ addressed the people, praised and extolled God, then said: "What is the matter with an agent we send, and he comes and says: This is for you, and this was gifted to me? Would that he sat in his father's house and his mother's house, and see whether a gift comes to him or not. By the One in whose hand is Muhammad's soul, none of you comes with anything but he will be paraded with it on the Day of Resurrection, carrying it on his neck—if it is a camel, it has a grumble; or a cow, it has a moo; or a bull, it bellows—and perhaps he said: it bleats." He said: Then he raised his hands until we saw the whiteness of his armpits, then said: "O God, have I conveyed?" three times.
