✧ A man from Banū ʿĀmir passed by him and it was said: This is among the wealthiest of people. Abū Hurayrah called him and asked him about that. He said: Yes, I have a hundred red camels, a hundred dark ones, and such and such sheep. Abū Hurayrah said: Beware of the camels' pads, beware of the sheep's hooves. I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "There is no man who has camels and does not pay their due in their hardship and their ease—and the Messenger of God ﷺ said: Their hardship and their ease, their difficulty and their ease—except that he will come out for them on a wide, level plain, and they will come to him as swift and strong as they can be, as fat or as large as they can be—Shuʿbah was uncertain—and they will trample him with their pads. Every time their last passes over him, their first will be brought back upon him on a day whose measure is fifty thousand years, until judgment is passed among the people, and then he will see his way. And there is no servant who has sheep and does not pay their due in their hardship and their ease—the Messenger of God ﷺ said: Their hardship and their ease, their difficulty and their ease—[except that he will come out for them] on a wide, level plain, as swift and strong as they can be and as fat or as large as they can be—Shuʿbah was uncertain—and they will trample him with their hooves and gore him with their horns. Every time their last passes over him, their first will be brought back upon him on a day whose measure is fifty thousand years, until judgment is passed among the people, and then he will see his way. And there is no man who has cows and does not pay their due [in their hardship] and their ease—and the Messenger of God ﷺ said: Their hardship and their ease, their difficulty and their ease—except that he will come out for them on a wide, level plain, as swift and strong as they can be and as fat or as large as they can be—Shuʿbah was uncertain—and they will trample him with their hooves and gore him with their horns. Every time their last passes over him, their first will be brought back upon him on a day whose measure is fifty thousand years, until judgment is passed among the people, and then he will see his way." So the ʿĀmirī said to him: What is the due of camels, O Abū Hurayrah? He said: "You give the generous one, grant the abundant milk, lend the mount, allow the stud, and provide milk."
