✧ We fasted with the Prophet ﷺ during Ramadan, and he did not lead us in night prayer until seven nights remained of the month. He led us until a third of the night had passed. Then he did not lead us on the sixth, and he led us on the fifth until half the night had passed. I said, "O Messenger of God ﷺ, would that you had let us pray the remainder of this night as supererogatory prayer?" He said, "Indeed, whoever stands with the imam until he finishes, it is recorded for him as standing a whole night." Then he did not pray with us until three nights remained of the month. He led us on the third, and he gathered his family and his women, and he led us until we feared we would miss the falah. I said, "What is the falah?" He said, "The suhur."
