حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مِسْكِينُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التُّجِيبِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ صَائِمًا لَمْ يُصَلِّ حَتَّى نَأْتِيَهُ بِرُطَبٍ وَمَاءٍ فَيَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ إِذَا كَانَ الرُّطَبُ، وَأَمَّا الشِّتَاءُ لَمْ يُصَلِّ حَتَّى نَأْتِيَهُ بِتَمْرٍ وَمَاءٍ

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was fasting, he would not pray until we brought him fresh dates and water, and he would eat and drink when fresh dates were available. In winter, he would not pray until we brought him dried dates and water.
