✧ Dihyah b. Khalifah went out from his village to the village of 'Uqbah b. 'Amir from al-Fustat in Ramadan, and he broke his fast, and the people broke their fast with him. Others disliked breaking their fast. When he returned to his village, he said: "By God, I saw something today that I never thought I would see: a people who turned away from the guidance of the Messenger of God ﷺ and his companions." He said that about those who fasted. At that he said: "O God, take me to You."
