أَخْبَرَنَا الْأُسْتَاذُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّابُونِيُّ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ - هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَنَّ كُلَيْبَ بْنَ ذُهْلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ قَالَ:

رَكِبْتُ مَعَ أَبِي بَصْرَةَ الْغِفَارِيِّ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَفِينَةٍ مِنَ الْفُسْطَاطِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ، فَدَفَعَ، ثُمَّ قَرَّبَ غَدَاءَهُ، فَقَالَ: اقْتَرِبْ، فَقُلْتُ: أَلَسْتَ تَرَى الْبُيُوتَ ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَصْرَةَ: أَتَرْغَبُ عَنْ سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟

✧ I rode with Abu Basrah al-Ghifari, the companion of the Messenger of God ﷺ, in a ship from al-Fustat during the month of Ramadan. He set off, then brought his lunch close and said: "Come closer." I said, "Do you not see the houses?" Abu Basrah said, "Do you turn away from the Sunnah of the Messenger of God ﷺ?"
